Located near vibrant neighborhoods like Chinatown, the stay was made even better by the friendly staff who quickly addressed our concerns when we found some insects in the bathroom. Transitioning to another comfortable room was seamless, and the morning coffee was a lovely touch. While the amenities were minimal, and there was no on-site parking, the charming exposed brick and wood beams of the old building added character, making the experience enjoyable overall.

The location is convenient for exploring Toronto.
I was extremely frustrated with the check-in process. Having to enter through a crowded restaurant just to find the desk was confusing and uncomfortable. The room, while somewhat clean, had lingering unpleasant odors and noticeable mould in the shower.

Is it a hit or a miss? here’s my take
The hotel boasts a fun, vibrant aesthetic with welcoming staff and a fantastic location near Kensington Market and Chinatown. Perfect for exploring! A cozy bar adds to the ambiance! !
Check-in felt awkward as it occurred in a bustling restaurant rather than a dedicated lobby, which detracted from the experience. Hidden fees added unexpected costs during checkout.

The location of Ocho is fantastic, right in the heart of Chinatown. Easy walking distance to Kensington Market, Little Italy, and downtown attractions. I appreciated the industrial decor. it added character to the place. The room was clean and spacious, which made my stay comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with my needs. I had issues with the bathroom door since it slid open by itself, making it less private. The air conditioning unit was quite loud, but it did keep the room cool. Dining options were limited, and I would have preferred more variety for breakfast, as the local cafes nearby were much better. Overall, I felt safe in the area, and the charm of the hotel was noteworthy, despite a few inconveniences.
