Close to restaurants, bars, China Town, Kensington Market & Subway! Nice bath products and bottled water!
Bathrooms are too dark, no coffee machines or free coffee in lobby, Dark Horse coffee shop steps away! No bedside tables, awkward! Pricey!
Location was perfect- lots of restaurants nearby along with public transportation and great neighborhoods. Loved the restaurant and bar downstairs too! Great staff. Everyone was eager to help. Super clean rooms with great design to them. Will stay here again if we find ourselves back in Toronto!
This young and growing hotel and its artistic/old warehouse design exceeded my expectations, it is very conveniently located, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is excellent value for money.
Nice small boutique hotel with a good location and friendly staff.
The staff was just awesome and I would like to thank them again for making my first time stay in Toronto such a wonderful time! T The whole building has a great cache, with a really relaxed atmosphere... The room was superb, clean and had a great shower - i'm a big fan of showers - and had one of those rain shower head... Very nice in the morning. It is very quiet there, even though it is ver centrally located. I was able to walk down to King street and enjoy the breathtaking sunrise on my way to the conference. Ocho is a bar / restaurant, i've tried a few drinks there and I can recommend the cocktails that Angelo makes, he's a pro. Try out the daily specials, they always come out delicious. To end my review, i would just say that i am a big fan and that i would recommend this hotel / bar / restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy Toronto at its best.
It has a unique style and comfortable atmosphere to it. I will definitely book again.
One small detail...it would be nice to have a door on the bathroom. Otherwise the room was perfect.
We stayed in the Deluxe King room and it was lovely. High ceilings, exposed brick, marble floors in the bathroom, modern fixtures, a deep tub and a rainshower shower. Two sides of the room had large windows looking out onto Spadina Avenue so there was a lot of natural light and we could people watch if we were so inclined. If you're looking for an urban, well-designed room, this is it.
While the facilities were modern and well-designed, the service was negligent. I don't think cleaning staff - if there were any - serviced the room before we arrived. There was a duvet on the bed but no top sheet, kleenex still stuck to the mirror in the bathroom and a soggy paper towel wedged into the corner of the stand-up shower.
What a find! Hotel Ocho is new to downtown Toronto, we had visited before and had dinner and drinks but were excited to stay in the brand new hotel rooms. Awesome room, super comfy bed and the bathroom was incredible. I wish the bathroom at home was that luxurious. Perfect location for see the sights and then wrapping up the evening in their lounge. Staff was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to visit again!
Nice clean design and services - and awesome staff.
Would have to think hard to come up with anything. Maybe: layout of the rooms with large windows facing an office building with equally large windows requires keeping the blinds closed. Think curtains might be a better solution. Would stay here again absolutely though.
Great lounge/bar to hang in. Crazy comfortable mattress and pillows. Funky bathroom. Fun staff. Cool art on the wall. The place is original and memorable.
No shower soap stand. Otherwise, great!
Room design not good; Wifi went down for the whole weekend; breakfast below what I would have expected for the room rate
Good design. Nice people. Good location.
Room just a little worn out, but still nice. Hairs in the bathroom.
The hotel offers everything a traveler wishes for. The rooms are nice, clean and very convenient. The stuff is welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, the restaurant really, really good! I was very happy with my choice and I would come back - anytime!
The rooms need more wardrobe and storage space. But this did not spoil an excellent city break
Very good location to the rest of the city. The bar stayed open late and the staff was very friendly
We were told on arrival they would serve a continental breakfast between 8-10.30am. We came down at 9.30 one morning and there was nothing left, the only thing that was left were chocolate cookies! We were then told by a staff member breakfast was only until 10am. We ended up eating elsewhere every day, as we didn't fancy chocolate cookies for breakfast!
